I am enjoying your post and the memories that it brings back of my time in India. I don't think that there is a problem with women going into the pool. Just be sure that you are wearing your shalwar chemise. You can leave the shawl pool side. I was invited to join a group of Rotarians on a retreat to the Indian ocean for a weekend. and Yes the ladies took their dip in the ocean in their clothes. Joyce W
